What is Macbeth's Role to the Tragic Story Line?
Macbeth plays the largest role within the tragic story of Macbeth as he is the main character and the story is based around his life, rise to power and then downfall. This role if more formally known within Shakespearean tragedies as the Tragic Hero. The main role of the tragic hero in the Story of Macbeth was to play on the beliefs of the supernatural, give a message to the people that lived during the Elizabethan times which was to show that disrupting the divine order of the kings will have great side effects.
